FinXL is currently seeking an experienced Senior Analyst - Third Party Risk to join a premier financial services organization on a 3-6 month contract engagement.
Our client has substantially uplifted its frameworks for the management of risk relating to outsourced activity, third-party providers, and suppliers. This critical first-line risk role will work within the Third Party Governance & Sourcing team to execute the third-party risk, due diligence, and oversight program across a complex, high-growth environment. You will support the business to reliably comply with regulatory frameworks-including APRA's CPS230 Operational Risk standard-ensuring scalable, efficient risk governance across hundreds of vendors.
Due Diligence Execution: Undertake robust due diligence activities on assigned third parties, including evaluating business continuity plans, internal control reports, labour practices, financial viability, privacy/data controls, country risk, and sanctions screening.
Risk Assessments: Execute consolidated risk assessments on third parties, evaluating inherent and residual risks across multiple domains, and workshopping outcomes to gain endorsement from business owners.
Data & Reporting Insights: Work directly with data to manipulate, analyse, and produce high-quality reporting and dashboards, leveraging automation and modern tools to provide the business with clear look-through visibility.
Stakeholder Engagement & Governance: Partner closely with internal stakeholders across Sourcing, Legal, Technology, Business Resiliency, and vendor management to communicate assessment progress and outcomes.
Process & Tool Uplift: Assist in implementing intuitive tools, templates, and user-friendly guides to support business users in governing their third-party risk profiles.
Workflow Administration: Perform financial crime screening, maintain accurate records within the risk management system, and actively monitor overall risk ratings.
Risk Domain Expertise: Proven experience in a first-line risk role, including third-party risk assessment, control monitoring, and governance frameworks, is highly desirable.
Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of the third-party services landscape and associated risk elements, with exposure to APRA frameworks (CPS230/SPS231) within the superannuation, fund management, or financial services industry highly valued.
Data & Analytical Skills: Advanced capability to analyse complex data records, identify core vulnerabilities, and transform raw data into meaningful executive insights.
Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication, networking, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to influence senior business leaders and multi-departmental vendor owners.
Systems Proficiency: Strong experience using formal risk, governance, and compliance management systems to capture audit-ready record keeping.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, or law is highly desirable.
