About the role
We are looking for a creative, reliable and tech-confident Content Creator & Marketing Assistant to help us produce short-form marketing videos and useful content for our growing software business.
You will turn product features, customer problems and business ideas into clear, engaging content for platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts and our website. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys creating videos, writing concise copy, experimenting with AI tools, and learning how B2B marketing works in a real business.
You do not need years of professional experience. We care most about your ability to communicate clearly, create polished content, take feedback well, and consistently deliver work on time.
What you’ll do
- Film, edit and publish short-form marketing videos for social media.
- Create product demonstrations, explainer videos, tutorials, behind-the-scenes clips and customer-focused content.
- Turn scripts, rough ideas and product notes into engaging videos using tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Express, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro or similar.
- Create social-media graphics, carousels, thumbnails and simple promotional assets.
- Write captions, hooks, video titles and short marketing copy.
- Help plan a weekly content calendar across social-media channels.
- Research content trends, competitor marketing, customer questions and relevant industry topics.
- Repurpose one piece of content into multiple formats—for example, a video into LinkedIn posts, short clips, graphics and email content.
- Assist with basic website, email-marketing or CRM content updates when required.
- Track basic performance metrics such as views, reach, engagement, clicks and follower growth.
- Bring forward ideas for content that would be useful, interesting or entertaining for small-business customers.
What we’re looking for
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Confidence creating short-form video content for social media.
- Basic video-editing ability, including captions, music, pacing, cuts, simple transitions and thumbnails.
- An eye for clean, professional visual design.
- Familiarity with Canva, CapCut or similar content-creation software.
- An understanding of what makes people stop scrolling: strong hooks, clear messaging and concise storytelling.
- Ability to work independently, follow a brief and meet agreed deadlines.
- Willingness to take feedback and refine content quickly.
- Comfortable working with technology, software products and AI tools.
- A personal laptop and reliable internet connection if working remotely.
Highly regarded
- Experience using Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, Descript or similar tools.
- Experience creating content for LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts or Facebook.
- Interest in SaaS, AI, small business, customer service, telecommunications, startups or technology.
- Basic knowledge of SEO, email marketing, paid social advertising or analytics.
- Experience using ChatGPT or other AI tools to help with ideation, scripts, captions and content production.
- A portfolio, TikTok/Instagram account, YouTube channel, student project or examples of content you have created.
What you’ll gain
- Real-world experience marketing a growing technology business.
- A portfolio of public-facing marketing videos and campaigns, where appropriate.
- Exposure to SaaS product marketing, AI tools, CRM workflows, business communications and small-business customer needs.
- Flexible work arrangements and hours that can fit around university or other commitments.
- Direct mentorship and practical feedback from a small business team.
- The opportunity for additional hours or a longer-term role as the business grows.
How to apply
Please submit:
- Your CV.
- A short introduction explaining why this role interests you.
- Links to 2–5 examples of videos, social posts, designs or other content you have created. Student, personal and unpaid-project examples are welcome.
- Your availability during the week.
- The editing and content-creation tools you use.
Applications without content examples may still be considered, but a small portfolio will strongly help your application.
