The Role: We are seeking an organised and detail‑driven Maintenance Planner to join our Technical Services team based in Yennora. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating and maintaining accurate records of customer assets and ensuring all preventative and corrective maintenance activities are completed in line with company policies, Australian Standards and statutory requirements.
Reporting to the Technical Services Operations Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting safe, compliant and efficient maintenance operations across a diverse portfolio of customer assets.
This role is well suited to someone with a mechanical or technical administration background who enjoys working with systems, data, contractors and internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate and control preventative and corrective maintenance activities for customer assets
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date asset, maintenance and compliance records within the MEX CMMS
- Ensure statutory and scheduled maintenance work orders are completed in accordance with required timeframes
- Coordinate approved contractors, ensuring compliance with safety, licensing, SWMS and permit‑to‑work requirements
- Raise purchase orders for maintenance works and correctly receipt invoices
- Support procurement of maintenance parts and spares
- Support the Management of Change process and maintain related records
- Monitor compliance requirements and escalate any identified breaches
- Prepare regular reports for management, including KPIs and recurring issues
- Deliver a high standard of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
- Complete required administrative tasks and documentation accurately and on time
- Actively comply with and support all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements
About you: You are a proactive and organised professional who enjoys working in a technical or maintenance environment and takes pride in accuracy, compliance and service delivery.
- 3–4 years’ experience in a maintenance, workshop or technical administration environment
- Strong planning, scheduling and coordination skills
- Experience maintaining asset and maintenance records within a CMMS (MEX experience is essential)
- Sound administrative and basic accounting capability (purchase orders, invoices, records management)
- Ability to read, understand and apply procedures, standards and compliance requirements
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
- A customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes
- General mechanical or technical background
- Experience working with Navision (or similar ERP systems)
The remuneration will be an annual base salary between $105,000 to $110,000 + superannuation.
Candidates are required to have a mechanical or technical background and at least 3+ years of experience performing the same duties within the gas or similar industry.
