Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeping Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in supporting financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with day-to-day accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Data entry: Record financial transactions accurately in accounting systems.
- Accounts payable: Process invoices and payments in a timely manner.
- Accounts receivable: Track incoming payments and follow up on outstanding accounts.
- Bank reconciliation: Assist with reconciling accounts and preparing reports.
- Financial reporting: Support preparation of monthly and quarterly financial summaries.
- Administrative support: Provide general assistance to the finance team.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Bookkeeping Assistant or in an accounting support role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is an advantage.
