As a Front End Supervisor, you will play a key role in leading the daily operations of our Membership and Front End departments. You will support the management team in driving productivity, maintaining operational excellence, and ensuring every member receives the high level of service Costco is known for.
You will lead by example, develop team members, resolve member concerns, coordinate front-end operations, and contribute to the overall success of the warehouse.

Coach, mentor, and develop Front End and Membership employees

Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and member-focused service

Conduct performance coaching and support employee development initiatives

Assist with recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and training activities

Coordinate staffing, breaks, lunches, and daily work assignments

Ensure a seamless and efficient experience for members at checkouts and Membership counters

Resolve member enquiries and concerns professionally and promptly

Support membership sign-ups, renewals, card processing, and merchandise refunds

Lead promotional initiatives designed to increase membership growth and engagement

Oversee daily Front End operations to maintain productivity and efficiency

Monitor checkout activity and adjust staffing levels to minimise wait times

Manage register operations, cash handling procedures, price verifications, and system overrides

Maintain Merchandise Pick-Up (MPU) accountability and accuracy

Support scheduling, supply ordering, equipment maintenance, and administrative reporting

Promote and maintain Costco's commitment to workplace safety

Ensure all departmental procedures, policies, and standards are followed

Coordinate employee safety training and compliance activities

Previous experience in customer service, retail operations, membership services, cash handling, sales, or a similar environment

Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience

Strong communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills

Ability to motivate teams and drive performance outcomes

Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities

Basic proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and data entry systems

Basic mathematical and cash handling skills
