About the Role
We're looking for a reliable, energetic, and versatile Workshop & Trades Assistant to join our Muswellbrook team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys a variety of work, thrives in a busy workshop environment, and wants to be part of a team that supports the mining and heavy industry sectors.
What You'll Be Doing
No two days are the same. You'll be involved in:
- Unloading trailers and deliveries using a forklift and workshop lifting equipment
- Assisting tradespeople with fabrication, assembly, repairs, and workshop tasks
- Moving materials throughout the workshop and yard
- Keeping the workshop clean, organised, and running efficiently
- Supporting painting and surface preparation activities
- Conducting equipment pre-starts and general workshop maintenance
- Helping maintain a safe workplace for everyone on site
What We're Looking For
- Current Forklift Licence (LF) - essential
- Current driver's licence
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling and active work
- Strong work ethic and willingness to jump in where needed
- Experience in a workshop, manufacturing, mining, engineering, or industrial environment
- Positive attitude, reliability, and team-first mindset
- Highly Regarded
- Overhead Crane (CB) experience
- Non-Slewing Mobile Crane (CN) experience
- Experience unloading trailers and handling heavy components
- Exposure to painting, blasting, or surface preparation
