Details: Neville Bonner Primary School is seeking an Administration Officer for Enrolments & Front Office support. The Enrolments Officer and Front Office Support Officer plays a vital role in managing the school's enrolment processes while providing high-quality front office and administrative support. As a key point of contact for prospective and current families, students, staff and community members, the position is responsible for coordinating enrolment enquiries and applications, maintaining accurate student records, and ensuring enrolment and attendance procedures are administered in accordance with Education Directorate policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
Working within a busy front office environment, the successful applicant will deliver professional and responsive customer service, support day-to-day administrative operations, and contribute to the efficient functioning of the school. The role requires strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships, manage competing priorities, and exercise initiative and sound judgement when working independently.
The position demands excellent attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to apply relevant legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines in line with Directorate and ACT Public Service requirements. Given the sensitive nature of student and family information, a high level of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion is essential.
This role is ideally suited to a customer-focused and highly organised individual who is committed to delivering accurate, efficient and welcoming enrolment and front office services while supporting positive outcomes for students, families and the wider school community.
Eligibility/Other Requirements:

Desirables
- Extensive experience in an administration role including enrolment processes.

First Aid Certificate or a willingness to undertake appropriate training.

Business qualifications or experience in a business-related role

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Knowledge of school specific software including Sentral and Kronos
Note: This is a temporary position available immediately until 30 June 2027 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
