About the Role
As an IT Coordinator at Dinmore Plant, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting all plant IT systems to ensure operational efficiency. This role includes installing and configuring hardware and software, performing preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting technical issues. The position requires strong problem-solving skills, effective communication with non-technical users, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. The IT Coordinator plays a key role in minimising downtime, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring reliable technology performance across the site. This is a full-time role with annual salary not less than $79,423.00 plus superannuation.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance on all plant IT assets to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Install and configure new hardware, including desktop computers and industrial printers, to support operational needs.
- Deploy and configure software across multiple platforms, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
- Modify, configure and customise existing software applications and system settings to meet operational requirements and improve user functionality and efficiency.
- Assess software and hardware requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions to meet operational and user needs across the plant environment.
- Configure, implement and maintain local computer networks and connectivity solutions to support business systems and operational equipment.
- ·Assist with the design, maintenance and updating of internal web-based platforms, intranet resources or business websites to support operational and communication requirements.
- Monitor, diagnose, and resolve daily IT issues throughout the plant, providing timely and effective support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve user-related problems as they arise, minimising downtime and disruption.
- Escalate complex issues to the broader IT support team while maintaining accountability for resolution and closure.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth IT operations.
- Prepare reports and track data to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma plus 1 year of full-time relevant experience. Alternatively, at least 3 years of relevant experience and/or relevant vendor certification may substitute for the formal qualifications.
- Previous experience working with varied IT hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a greater team.
- Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills – with the ability to explain technical issues to a non-technical user base.
- Highly developed time management skills, including prioritising tasks and meeting conflicting deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- High standard of computer literacy.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing/processing environment would be preferable.
