We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced ICT Support Technician to join our team on a full-time basis.
The successful candidates will be assigned to:
- Programming, configuring and maintaining workstations for staff, with necessary network and software access, along with performing regular server maintenance to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Monitor the peak performance of network infrastructures and perform regular maintenance.
- Monitor traffic for security threats, and conduct regular training sessions, and create documentation to educate users on network best practices on prevention of social engineering attacks.
- Staying informed of industry best practices and recommend any changes to improve performance and security of the network.
- Roll-out critical updates to desktops and servers against new viruses/exploits.
- Documentation of troubleshooting and resolution processes for all IT related matter within the hotel.
- Provide IT support for conference clients and staff on-site ensuring proper resolution is achieved.
- Plan contingency, data and network backup as a disaster recovery plan.
- Providing support in troubleshooting network problems and emergencies.
- Manage the overall access control system along with CCTV of the hotel premises.
- Ensure network operations comply with organisational policies and industry standards.
- Other duties as reasonably requested.
We are looking for someone with:
- A qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in an ICT Support or IT Support role.
- Experience supporting Windows desktop environments, servers, networking and user accounts.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
- The ability to prioritise workloads, work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- A strong commitment to customer service.
