POSITION 1 — CASUAL BARTENDER
As a Joy & Joy Bartender, you'll be the face of the bar at some of the Gold Coast's most celebrated events. You'll craft cocktails and beverages with flair, engage guests with warmth and professionalism, and contribute to the seamless flow of every event you work.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and pack down bar stations in line with event specifications and timelines
- Prepare, mix, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to a high standard
- Engage guests in a warm, professional, and personable manner throughout service
- Maintain bar cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene standards at all times
- Monitor and manage stock levels during service, restocking as required
- Adhere strictly to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) obligations
- Collaborate with waitstaff and kitchen team to ensure smooth event flow
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately where required
What We're Looking For
✔ A current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate — or willingness to obtain one prior to commencing
✔ A friendly, outgoing personality and genuine enjoyment of engaging with people
✔ A flair for creativity and theatrical presentation — we love bartenders who bring personality to the bar!
✔ Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced event environment
✔ Reliable, punctual, and professionally presented at all times
✔ Prior bartending or hospitality experience is an advantage but not required — full training is provided
✔ Availability for evening and weekend shifts, with flexibility across the Gold Coast region
Position 2 — Casual Waitstaff
Bring warmth, grace, and energy to every table.
As a Joy & Joy Waitstaff member, you'll deliver polished, attentive table service and front-of-house support at luxury events across the Gold Coast. You'll represent our brand with pride, ensuring every guest interaction is warm, professional, and memorable.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up event spaces including table settings, linen, and service stations
- Welcome and attend to guests with a warm, attentive, and professional manner
- Serve food and beverages accurately and efficiently in accordance with event run sheets
- Anticipate guest needs, respond to requests promptly, and handle dietary requirements with care
- Work collaboratively with the bar team, kitchen staff, and Event Manager during service
- Clear, clean, and reset tables between courses and during event transitions
- Assist with bump-in setup and bump-out pack-down of event spaces as directed
- Uphold Joy & Joy's presentation standards in uniform, grooming, and conduct at all times
