Chemtrans is a division of K&S Freighters and is a well-respected industry leader in the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of Dangerous and Hazardous Goods and chemicals throughout Australia.
The Opportunity:
Sustained growth within our business has created this exciting position for an administration or transport professional to embed themselves into this well-established team and become another long servicing Chemtrans employee!
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will support the team with all day-to-day tasks involved with moving our Chemtrans Dangerous goods around Brisbane to customers, rail and wharfs. No day will be the same and you’ll be scheduling and liaising with the driver team, completing paperwork, data entry and delivering our high-quality brand of customer service internally and externally.
What you’ll bring:
We’re looking for someone who’s ready to develop their experience in transport and administration and specialise in our companies’ busy dangerous goods transport operations.
You’ll be a team player who values good communication and organisation but also possesses the ability to manage competing priorities and respond to the changes that are constant in a busy transport environment.
You will have:
Strong administration experience- transport experience highly regarded but not essential
Experience with data entry & excel spreadsheets
Excellent customer service skills and an ability to connect with people in a way where they feel valued and assisted
A get in and get the job done attitude, happy to do any task required to achieve the operational goals
A flexible attitude towards an ever changing to do list as operational priorities adjust
An eye for detail when completing reports, spreadsheets and suppling important operational data
Pride in doing a job to a high standard and the ability to follow through on tasks and solve problems when required.
