MECER PTY LTD is seeking an experienced and motivated Full-Time Retail Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of its Maroochydore retail store.
About the Role
The Retail Manager will be responsible for organising and controlling the day-to-day operations of the retail establishment.
The position involves managing and supervising employees, coordinating sales activities, managing inventory and purchasing, maintaining high standards of customer service and store presentation, and contributing to the overall sales, profitability and operational performance of the business.
Key Responsibilities
The Retail Manager's duties will include:
- Managing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the retail store.
- Planning and implementing sales strategies, promotional activities and merchandising initiatives to achieve sales and profitability targets.
- Managing, supervising and coordinating retail staff.
- Allocating staff duties and preparing and managing staff rosters.
- Monitoring employee performance and providing appropriate training, guidance and support.
- Maintaining high standards of customer service and handling customer enquiries, complaints and complex customer service matters.
- Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating stock ordering and replenishment.
- Ensuring stock is accurately received, stored, displayed and controlled.
- Managing purchasing activities and liaising with suppliers regarding stock availability, pricing and delivery.
- Monitoring sales results, operating costs and overall business performance.
- Preparing, maintaining and reviewing relevant sales, stock, staffing, purchasing and operational reports and records.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant workplace health and safety, employment, retail and business requirements.
- Maintaining high standards of store presentation, including merchandising, product displays, cleanliness and general presentation.
- Assisting with recruitment, induction, training and development of employees.
- Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve store operations, customer experience, sales and profitability.
- Managing opening and closing procedures and ensuring appropriate store security procedures are followed.

Qualifications and Experience
The preferred candidate will have:
- A relevant AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma qualification, or equivalent qualification relevant to the position; and
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience in the nominated occupation or a closely related position.
Relevant qualifications, skills and employment experience will be considered when assessing applications.
Salary and Employment Conditions
Salary: $79,500 per annum plus superannuation
This is a full-time position.
Employment conditions will be provided in accordance with applicable Australian workplace laws and employment requirements.
The salary offered will also be subject to any applicable market salary and temporary skilled visa requirements.
