Leeton Early Learning Centre is seeking applications for the position of Early Childhood Teacher 0-5 years on a Full time (or Part Time basis for the right candidate). This successful candidate will lead and support the staff to develop, implement and evaluate a program of experiences and activities for the optimum growth and learning of all children. This position will form part of the leadership team within the Service.
The applicant will be a highly motivated, energetic, creative person to engage children’s learning and development. They will have solid interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team and a demonstrated ability to implement current pedagogical practices for children aged 0-5 years. A current ACECQA approved Early Childhood Teaching Degree qualifications (or working towards this qualification), NSW Working with Children’s check and a First Aid Certificate (including Anaphylaxis and Asthma training) recognised under the Children Protection Act 1998 are essential.
Salary and Conditions: The position is classified as within Levels 1 to 5 in the Leeton Council Salary System (Splinter Award rates from Educational Services Teachers Award 2020) and will attract a salary in the range of $42.43 to $58.70 per hour plus 12% superannuation. However, if working toward a qualification, Council will negotiate an alternate rate of pay for the successful candidate.
Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award. Prior to commencement the successful applicant will be required to undergo a functional assessment which includes an Alcohol & Other Drugs screening. It is also a requirement, on commencement, to provide evidence of being Covid-19 vaccinated.
