Your New Role
This role is a 12-month maximum term contract and is responsible for ensuring the Fund’s insurance products remain competitive and sustainable, meeting the diverse needs of members in an equitable manner while complying with all regulatory requirements and industry codes. These products must also align with the Insurance Management Framework (IMF). The position oversees the maintenance and evolution of the Fund’s group insurance policies and IMF to accurately reflect agreed terms, conditions, processes, Trust Deed requirements, and relevant legislation.
Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supporting the design and development of the insurance product offering
- Implementing product and process simplification initiatives, including member, employer and advice-related initiatives
- Providing subject matter expertise to the business, including responding to queries and reviewing/signing off on insurance communications and collateral such as Significant Event Notices (SENs), Product Disclosure Statements (PDSs), insurance guides, forms, annual statements, education materials and tender responses
- Taking an active role as an insurance SME across business projects, including information gathering, impact assessments and analysis (e.g. competitive positioning, insurer and administrator proposals), testing, development of digital requirements (e.g. online underwriting, calculators, member portal) and policy reviews
- Leading small projects or specific components of larger projects and initiatives
Monitoring and maintaining the insurance product inbox, including responding to or allocating queries as appropriate
