Support Worker (NDIS)

About the Role
Real Care Disability is looking for compassionate and reliable Support Workers in Warneet and surrounding areas. In this role, you will provide person-centred support to NDIS participants, helping them live independently and achieve their individual goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care (showering, dressing, hygiene)
- Support community access and social activities
- Provide transport to appointments and outings
- Assist with meal preparation and light household tasks
- Follow participant care plans and behavioural supports
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
- Promote independence, choice, and dignity
Essential Requirements (NDIS/NDIA Compliance)
- ✅ NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
- ✅ Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- ✅ Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- ✅ National Police Check (within 12 months)
- ✅ Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle (preferred)
- ✅ Full working rights in Australia
- ✅ Completion (or willingness to complete) NDIS Quality & Safeguards training
Skills & Experience
- Experience in disability support (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of person-centred care
- Knowledge of NDIS Code of Conduct
