We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to join our dynamic catering operations team based at Perth Airport. This is a fast-paced role critical to ensuring the seamless supply of goods, supporting production demands, and maintaining the highest food safety and quality standards.

About the Role
As a Purchasing Officer, you will be responsible for purchasing, receiving, and managing stock to meet operational demands. You will play a key role in maintaining supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting efficient catering operations in an airport environment.
Key Responsibilities

Manage purchase orders and supplier relationships

Coordinate deliveries with production and kitchen teams

Monitor stock levels, rotation, and storage

Ensure all goods meet quality, hygiene, and safety standards

Track expiry dates and minimise wastage

Conduct stocktakes and maintain accurate records
-
Resolve delivery discrepancies and supplier issues
-
Maintain clean and organised storage areas
-
Ensure compliance with food safety and WHS requirements

Support cost-effective purchasing and continuous improvement
About You
-
Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain

Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Ability to work across multiple departments in a fast-paced environment

Confident using ERP systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel & Outlook)

Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, QSAI, WHS) is highly regarded

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
-
Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain) preferred

Airline catering or food industry experience is advantageous
