The role involves providing high-quality, person-cententred support to people with disabilities, including participants who may display behaviours of concern or require additional behavioural support.

Role and Responsibilities
As an NDIS Support Worker, you will:
- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities.
- Encourage community participation and social engagement.
- Assist with meal preparation, medication prompts and light household duties.
- Implement and follow individual care plans, risk assessments and Behaviour Support Plans.
- Support participants who may display behaviours of concern.
- Use positive behaviour support, de-escalation and redirection strategies where required.
- Identify and report behavioural changes, incidents, risks and concerns.
- Maintain accurate shift notes, progress notes and incident reports.
- Foster a safe, respectful and positive environment.
- Build meaningful connections through mentorship and supportive guidance.
- Work collaboratively with families, coordinators, behaviour support practitioners and the wider care team.
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Certificate III in Individual Support or an equivalent qualification.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Police Check completed within the last six months.
- Valid Australian driver's licence.
- Reliable vehicle with comprehensive or third-party property damage insurance.
- Ability to confidently support participants with behaviours of concern.
- Understanding of professional boundaries, duty of care and restrictive practice requirements.
Experience implementing Behaviour Support Plans, managing challenging situations or supporting participants with complex needs is highly desirable.
A minimum of one year of disability support experience is preferred.
