About this role
We are seeking applications from experienced Sterilising Technicians to join our CSSD team on a casual basis across a 10-day roster, with flexibility to participate in on call overtime and weekend stand by shifts as required. You will be responsible for carrying out a range of sterilising duties in a safe, efficient manner, in accordance with hospital policies and procedures and as directed by the
- Processing, maintaining and distributing reusable medical devises required by Operating Theatres and Wards
- Collecting contaminated reusable medical devises from wards and designated departments for delivery to CSSD
- Packaging equipment for sterilisation
- Assisting with validation and routine control of decontamination and sterilisation process
- Attending to the transportation, storage, rotation and handling of supplies
- Monitors decontamination/sterilisation process, checks and maintain all reprocessing and sterilisation records.
About You
It is expected that you will possess a Certificate 111 in Sterilisation (or similar) along with:
A minimum of 1 years' experience in sterilisation within a hospital setting (essential)
- A strong customer service-orientated mindset
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A methodical approach to work and a high level of attention to detail
- The ability to comply with quality standards, policy and procedures
Hours:
This is a casual role. You will work varied shifts across a 7 day roster, between the hours of 6.30am to 11.00pm. You must be available to work flexibly between these hours.
