The Role
This is a full-time, office-based inside sales role based at our Cranbourne East headquarters. You'll be the dedicated voice of TRADEgear for professional painters across regional and national Australia — areas our vans don't reach but our reputation certainly does.
Every day you'll be working a live pipeline of warm leads. Painters are already buying from our website — your job is to pick up the phone, introduce them to our trade program, open their account, and build a long-term relationship that keeps them coming back month after month.
Once onboarded, you'll manage your own national account portfolio on structured call cycles, placing orders, passing on specials, answering enquiries, and making sure every customer feels like they've got the best trade supplier in their corner.
This is not a cold-calling grind. Our website generates qualified leads daily. You're converting warm interest into loyal, recurring trade customers.
What You'll Be Doing
- Contacting inbound website buyers and converting them to trade account customers
- Working leads generated through Instagram, Google, and digital channels
- Managing a national portfolio of trade accounts on monthly call cycles
- Processing orders through our CRM and coordinating fulfilment with the warehouse
- Handling customer enquiries with speed, knowledge, and genuine care
- Logging every call and outcome in CRM — same day, every day
- Growing your book of business and your commission cheque along with it
The Earning Potential Is Real
- Base Salary: $75,000 per annum + superannuation
- Commission: Tiered, uncapped, and structured so the harder you work, the more you earn
- Realistic OTE: $120,000 – $150,000+ for a strong performer

You are:
- A natural on the phone — you build rapport quickly, you listen well, and people enjoy talking to you
- Honest and straightforward — you do what you say you'll do, and you own it when things don't go to plan
- A self-starter who doesn't need to be told twice — you see what needs doing and you do it
- Organised and disciplined — managing a large call cycle without letting anything slip
- Competitive in the best way — motivated by your own results, not threatened by others'
- A genuine team player who adds to the culture, not just the numbers
Experience that helps:
- Proven outbound or inside sales experience — phone-based preferred
- Trade, building products, paint industry, or related background is a bonus but not essential
- Comfortable with CRM systems and digital tools (Zoho experience is a plus)
- Familiarity with professional painting consumables or the decorating trade is advantageous
