We are seeking a passionate and reliable Lifestyle Assistant to join our team at our Palmwoods residential facility on a part-time basis, working Tuesday to Friday.

About the Role
As a Lifestyle Assistant, you will support the delivery of therapeutic recreation services under the guidance of the Recreation Coordinator. You will play an important role in developing, delivering and observing goal-oriented programs that meet the leisure, social and therapeutic needs of residents.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating meaningful experiences, building strong relationships and supporting residents to participate in activities that enhance quality of life, wellbeing and connection.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with the design and delivery of therapeutic recreation and lifestyle programs tailored to residents’ strengths, interests and needs
- Support residents to participate in meaningful activities, both within the facility and the broader community
- Observe resident participation and provide feedback to the Recreation Coordinator to support assessments and progress reviews
- Maintain accurate documentation relating to resident participation, program outcomes and interventions
- Work collaboratively with residents, families, volunteers and other Sundale team members
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive and resident-focused environment
- Uphold Sundale’s standards, values, policies and commitment to safe work practices
About You
You will bring warmth, empathy and creativity to your work, with a genuine passion for supporting older people to live their best lives. You will be confident communicating with residents, families and colleagues, and enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
You will also have:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to build rapport with residents, families and team members
- A creative and flexible approach to activity planning and delivery
- Good time management and documentation skills
- A commitment to person-centred care and meaningful engagement
- A collaborative and professional approach to teamwork
Required Qualifications or Certificates
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health preferred, or current enrolment with previous experience as a Recreational Activities Officer, Lifestyle Officer or in a relevant field
- National Police Check
- Pre-employment medical assessment
