Your new role:
The Role
Play a key role in delivering specialist psychology services for older adults, supporting high-quality patient care across geriatric medicine, stroke and Pathways services at QEII Hospital.
Provide advanced psychological assessment, intervention and support for patients with complex presentations, including cognitive impairment, delirium and behaviours of concern.
Lead and contribute to evidence-based models of care, service development activities, quality improvement initiatives and research projects that enhance patient outcomes.
Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, providing expert clinical advice and supporting patient-centred care, discharge planning and community linkages.
Supervise, educate and mentor less experienced clinicians, students and allied health assistants while contributing to workforce development and clinical capability.
About you:
About You
You are an experienced and collaborative psychologist who is passionate about improving outcomes for older people and contributing to excellence in healthcare delivery.
Demonstrated expertise in delivering high-quality psychology services within complex healthcare environments, ideally with experience supporting older persons.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships, provide clinical advice and work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
Proven ability to manage complex clinical workloads, prioritise competing demands and deliver evidence-based assessment, intervention and discharge planning.
Commitment to leadership, supervision and continuous improvement, with experience supporting staff development and contributing to service enhancement initiatives.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
