About the role
This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the interface of primary and specialist care, delivering high-quality neurology services within a supportive, consultant-led environment. You will take a leading role in managing patients with neurological conditions, particularly primary headache disorders, through structured assessment, evidence-based treatment, and coordinated care planning. Operating within a multidisciplinary team, you will engage closely with neurologists, allied health professionals, and primary care providers to streamline patient pathways and reduce unnecessary hospital presentations.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Responsible for the assessment, management, procedural care and disposition of patients - including the recognition and management of clinical deterioration, within your Metro North approved Scope of Clinical
Treat patients and their families with courtesy and empathy and treat all hospital staff and professional colleagues with courtesy and respect.
Deliver appropriate high-quality management of patients and refer to other colleagues/services where clinically and professionally appropriate.
Ensure policies, procedures and practices are consistent with contemporary best practice, RACGP, ACEM, ACRRM, Queensland and National standards.
Perform duties as determined by MNH and as directed by the Clinical Director and as directed by the Chief Medical Officer of Medical Services, MNH or delegate/s.
