The purpose of this role is to deliver high-level biomedical engineering services that support the acquisition, management, safety and optimisation of healthcare technology, ensuring reliable and effective technology solutions across clinical environments.
What you'll do
In this role you will provide specialist biomedical engineering advice to clinical and digital health stakeholders, lead healthcare technology acquisition and evaluation activities, develop technical specifications and tender assessments, oversee acceptance testing and commissioning of medical equipment, investigate clinical equipment incidents, support healthcare technology safety initiatives, deliver training and education programs, provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members, and contribute to the continuous improvement of biomedical engineering practices and patient safety outcomes.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
Holds a recognised Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Has extensive experience in biomedical engineering or healthcare technology management
Can provide expert technical advice and leadership across complex healthcare environments
Has experience with medical equipment procurement, evaluation and commissioning
Demonstrates strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Can lead quality improvement, safety and service development initiatives
