Main on Construction & Maintenance provides ISO-certified, CM3-prequalified commercial fit-outs and defect rectification.
A Maintenance Carpenter repairs and maintains buildings rather than constructing new ones. They work in commercial buildings, schools, hospitals, offices, apartments, hotels, factories, and government facilities.
Typical job duties include:
Repairing doors, windows, walls, ceilings, floors, and roofs.
Installing and repairing locks, hinges, cabinets, shelving, and other fixtures.
Replacing damaged timber and building components.
Carrying out preventive and reactive maintenance.
Reading work orders and basic building plans.
Using hand tools and power tools safely.
Ensuring work complies with safety regulations.
Keeping maintenance records and communicating with supervisors.
Common requirements:
Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent trade qualification).
White Card (Construction Induction Card).
Current driver's licence.
Experience in building maintenance or construction.
Ability to work independently and solve maintenance issues.
Pay: $8,000.00 – $9,200.00 per month
