We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and passionate Assistant Store Manager to join our team and help lead operations across our Zambrero Wollongong and University of Wollongong (UOW) restaurants.

About the Role
As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Restaurant Manager and ensuring the smooth and successful operation of our restaurants.
You will help lead the team, maintain high operational standards, and create exceptional experiences for both customers and team members.
Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the training, development, and performance of team members

Helping create a positive workplace culture built on teamwork, respect, and great customer service

Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and coaching of new team members

Supporting rostering, team management, and performance discussions

Ensuring all food is prepared, presented, and served to Zambrero’s high standards

Assisting with stock ordering, supplier management, and inventory control

Supporting administrative tasks including banking, cash handling, payroll, reporting, and compliance paperwork

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across food preparation areas, dining areas, and the restaurant environment

Ensuring Workplace Health & Safety procedures are followed and team members are trained in safe work practices
