About the role
Reporting to the Planning and Coordination Manager, the Planning and Coordination Officer provide operational and administrative support to assist in the delivery of Directorate initiatives, projects, and day-to-day activities. The role contributes to the planning, coordination, and monitoring of tasks to ensure regional and organisational objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
The Planning and Coordination Officer supports operational teams and direct reports, assisting with workforce coordination, project delivery, and team performance. The role also contributes to engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including Traditional Owners, community groups, and partners, supporting safe, accessible, and sustainable outcomes in line with organisational priorities.
This position supports Parks Victoria's ongoing transformation by enabling improvements in operational performance, service delivery, and the management of Victoria's parks and reserves.
We're looking for someone with:

Hands-on experience in operational or technical programs - ideally in public land, conservation, or natural resource management - backed by relevant qualifications in environmental management or a related field.

You'll bring solid coordination skills, sound knowledge of park and conservation operations, and a practical understanding of workplace safety and compliance. Experience working with contractors, volunteers, or community groups is a plus, as is a current Victorian Driver's Licence.
