About the role
This is a key leadership role within our Sales team, with a strong focus on building trusted customer partnerships and driving sustainable account growth.
As Account Management Team Leader, you will lead and develop a team of Account Managers, setting clear direction and supporting them to deliver exceptional customer experiences, strengthen retention and identify opportunities for growth.
You will oversee strategic account planning and performance, using customer and commercial insights to guide decisions, monitor account health and keep the team focused on the right priorities.
Working closely with Sales, Channel, Product and Support teams, you will help resolve customer issues, improve account management practices and build a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing, data-driven Account Management team
- Driving customer satisfaction, retention and account growth across the portfolio
- Overseeing strategic account planning, reviews and execution
- Identifying and pursuing upsell and cross-sell opportunities across direct and team-managed accounts
- Collaborating across Sales, Channel, Product and Support teams to resolve customer issues and deliver joined-up outcomes
- Monitoring account health, budgets and team performance, and using data to identify risks, opportunities and process improvements
What you bring
You bring a customer-first mindset, strong commercial judgement and a genuine ability to bring out the best in others. You are confident influencing across teams, working with data and turning account insights into practical action.
You’ll likely have:
- A strong track record in account management, with the ability to learn complex or technical product ranges
- Experience leading, coaching and empowering a team to achieve shared goals
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, client retention and expanded product adoption
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Channel, Product and Support teams
- Strong account planning skills, with confidence using CRM systems and account data to manage pipeline activity, report performance and identify trends, risks and growth opportunities
