About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated full-time Reach Stacker Operator to join our Intermodal team on rotating shifts at our Penfield Depot, where overtime is available on weekends and public holidays.
Job Description
Reporting to the Rail Operations Manager, the position includes the following responsibilities:
Load and unload trailers and rolling stock using forklifts and handling equipment.
- Load and unload containers safely to minimise damage.
- Use team instructions to plan efficient loading and unloading.
- Record all lifts accurately and update actual weights.
- Attend fit for duty and report incidents, hazards and near misses correctly.
- Join toolbox talks and complete equipment prestarts.
- Tag out and report faulty equipment, follow isolation procedures and adverse weather storage and handling guidelines.
Essential Licensing, Experience and Requirements:
The successful candidate must:
- Hold a current High-Risk LF/RS licence and relevant industry experience.
- Hold a current SA C-class driver’s licence.
- Communicate clearly and effectively.
- Show a strong safety focus, positive attitude and teamwork skills.
- Pass a CAT 3 rail medical and perform frequent manual tasks.
