Job Description
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Chef to join our Catering Services team!
In this role, you will:

Prepare nutritious and appetising meals for patients, staff, the café, and hospital functions.

Uphold food quality, hygiene, and safety standards in line with regulatory requirements.

Support daily kitchen operations including ordering, stock rotation, and food safety compliance.
-
Work collaboratively in a busy team environment, reporting to the Head Chef.
-
Possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in commercial kitchens, with strong capability in high-volume bulk cooking as well as preparing short-order meals efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
-
Preparation and cooking of meals (including cold larder and special diets).

Understanding and meeting patient dietary requirements.
-
Ensuring food safety compliance (HACCP) and accurate record keeping.

Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen and equipment.

Assisting with stock management and ordering.
About You:
-
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (essential).
-
Strong understanding of food hygiene and OH&S standards.
-
Proven experience in food preparation for individuals and groups (hospital experience highly regarded).

Ability to manage high-volume workflows with strong organisation skills.

Excellent teamwork, time management, and communication skills.

Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.

Unrestricted working rights in Australia (sponsorship not available).
