Business Development Manager – Earthmoving / Concrete / AWP / Mobile Crane
Location: VIC - Melbourne (2HCs BDM -- Earthmoving/Concrete/AWP/Mobile Crane 1HC AG-agricultural BDM), Wodonga (1 Any direction except AWP)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive business growth within the heavy machinery and industrial sectors. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background who understands heavy equipment, system maintenance, product reliability, and manufacturing processes, while also possessing excellent business development and customer relationship skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to generate new opportunities and grow existing accounts.
- Build strong relationships with customers across mining, construction, manufacturing, and heavy industry.
- Promote solutions related to heavy machinery, system maintenance, and equipment reliability.
- Understand customer operational challenges and recommend technically sound solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to deliver value-driven proposals.
- Drive product positioning, branding, and market awareness.
- Identify new market opportunities and expand the customer portfolio.
- Support product demonstrations, technical presentations, and commercial negotiations.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in Business Development, Technical Sales, or Account Management within Earthmoving / Concrete / AWP / Mobile Crane industry.
- Strong understanding of heavy machinery, manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or reliability engineering.
- Knowledge of equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and asset performance is highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to both engineering and commercial stakeholders.
- Experience developing new business and managing strategic customer relationships.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Pay: $200,000.00 – $240,000.00 per year
Experience:
- Reliability Engineer: 5 years (Preferred)
- Earthmoving / Concrete / AWP / Mobile Crane INDUSTRY: 2 years (Required)
- Business Development: 5 years (Preferred)
