Are you passionate about shaping impactful policy? We're looking for a skilled Senior Policy Officer to lead the development and implementation of initiatives that support agency and government priorities.
As Senior Policy Officer, you’ll research and analyse complex policy issues, develop evidence-based solutions, and provide expert advice to support strategic decision-making. You’ll play a key role in ensuring policies are clearly understood and effectively implemented across the organisation.
You’ll manage stakeholder relationships, monitor policy outcomes, and guide junior staff to deliver high-quality work. Your ability to prepare clear, informative reports and briefs will support agency responses and government commitments.
As a part of the Policy Review and Implementation team, you will have the opportunity to work on broad sweeping, whole of government reform that will have a meaningful impact on disaster impacted communities within NSW.
You have strong experience in policy or policy reform, development and implementation, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes. You’re confident working independently and making decisions that shape policy direction.
You are a clear communicator and collaborator, with a talent for building stakeholder engagement and translating complex issues into practical solutions. Your leadership and analytical skills make you a trusted contributor to policy success.
Experience in Cabinet processes will be highly regarded.
Tertiary qualification and/or relevant knowledge and experience.

The NSW Reconstruction Authority is a statutory corporation and executive agency of the Premier’s Department, that will improve how NSW plans for disasters and ensure that we recover from them faster.
To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the NSW Reconstruction Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, businesses and government.
