About the Role
As a Parking Enforcement Officer, you will spend your days out in the community engaging with residents, supporting local activity, and helping create fair and accessible public spaces.
You will be supported by experienced Team Supervisors who will coach and mentor you to deliver high-quality parking services that promote safety, improve traffic flow, and encourage compliance with parking regulations across our vibrant municipality.
The role includes a 1-in-4 weekend rotation, with an additional rostered day off following your weekend shift—supporting a healthy work-life balance. Shifts are scheduled between 7:00am and 8:00pm across seven days (42 hours per week), offering variety in working conditions and the chance to collaborate with a diverse and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- You’ll apply an effective patrol strategy across your assigned parking section to detect non-compliance.
- Using modern handheld technology, you’ll issue parking infringement notices where breaches occur and ensure clear, accurate documentation of offenses.
- You’ll also educate the community on parking regulations and respond to inquiries with a strong focus on delivering superior customer service.
- Responsibilities will extend to supporting community safety through reporting damaged council assets and addressing amenity concerns.
- You will also assist in vehicle removal and enforcement of tow-away zones, when required.
- Additionally, you’ll contribute to training and supporting new team members, help manage parking-related investigations, and, on occasion, collaborate with and support other enforcement teams.

- You’re proficient in using technology, including handheld devices, and have a keen eye for detail to ensure compliance and accuracy in all aspects of your work.
Employment Requirements
- Applicants must have the right to work in Australia
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence
- Preferred applicants will be required to undergo a National Police Record Check, Working With Children’s Check and Medical Check.
- You’ll also need to be physically fit, as the role involves extended periods of walking.
