Program and Compliance Adviser
- Salary: $100,894 - $114,476 plus superannuation
- Fixed term role until 30 June 2027
- Usual hours of work: Full Time (flexibility may be available)

The Role
A rewarding opportunity exists for someone looking to further develop their grant management expertise in government investment attraction programs. Reporting to the Program and Compliance Manager, the Program and Compliance Adviser works closely with the Governance and Performance team to support the Investment and Engagement branch within Industry, Trade and Investment.
The role provides quality assurance, advice, guidance and GEMS support to progress investment contracts, milestone acquittals, grant payment claims and grant agreement variations. You will help ensure Victoria's investment attraction grants are delivered with strong governance, sound compliance and accurate administration, while supporting project monitoring, reporting, process improvement and the maintenance of accurate grant records. This role is suited to a highly organised professional with strong communication, stakeholder engagement and analytical skills, along with a keen eye for detail.
Main Accountabilities
- Assess grant payment claims and contract variations through quality assurance checks and provide advice on compliance risks and mitigation.
- Support monitoring, tracking and reporting of projects across the Group's investment grant portfolio.
- Maintain accurate investment grant records in Salesforce (GEMS) and support Investment Managers with grant administration.
- Develop an understanding of investment governance frameworks and contribute to staff resources and process improvements.
- Build effective stakeholder relationships and contribute positively as part of a collaborative team.
The Team
The position of Program and Compliance Adviser forms a part of the Industry, Trade and Investment Services Branch within the Industry, Trade and Investment Group.
The Industry, Trade and Investment Group works closely with businesses locally and globally to grow Victorian jobs, drive innovation and increase Victoria's international competitiveness. The Group supports trade, investment, innovation and international education opportunities while strengthening Victoria's key industries and economic growth.
The Industry, Trade and Investment Services Branch comprises the Facilitation, Financial Projects and Risks, Governance and Performance, Service Design and Delivery, Financial Services and Business Management, and Events and Venues teams. The Branch provides specialist support across finance, governance, grant management, performance reporting, investment facilitation and business management services for the broader Group.
