This role will be working within the WREN service. WREN is the first public private partnership of its kind. As a statewide service, Wren plays an important role in expanding access to specialist mental health care for Victorian consumers, while demonstrating the value of collaboration between the public and private healthcare sectors in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
This role will support the multidisciplinary team caring for the mothers and supporting the boarder infants in our 5 statewide perinatal beds. We accept mothers of infants from 7 days to 12 months old.
This role will provide specialised clinical care, infant assessments, and parenting support to women and their infants admitted to the WREN unit, fostering a trauma-informed and recovery-oriented environment.
About You
You are a compassionate and adaptable Registered Midwife who is passionate about providing safe, high-quality maternity care. You enjoy working in a fast-paced clinical environment and are committed to delivering exceptional outcomes for women, babies and their families.
You will also bring:

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife

Significant postnatal clinical experience.

Demonstrated expertise in:

Lactation and breastfeeding support.

Infant feeding assessment.

Sleep and settling support for young infants.

Parent-infant relationship and attachment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach and ability to liaise with external teams.

Flexibility to work a casual rotating roster
