Part-Time Architectural Designer – Tiny Homes
Treehab Tiny Homes is a growing Australian tiny house company specialising in thoughtfully designed, transportable homes. We create high-quality tiny homes on wheels that combine beautiful design, functionality, and craftsmanship.
Our architect has recently returned to Spain, and we are looking for a motivated Architect or Architectural Designer to join our team on a part-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a niche and rapidly growing sector of residential design while working closely with our team and customers.
About the Role
You will work from our premises in Williamstown North initially 2 days per week and become involved in both the design and customer journey. Responsibilities will include:
- Developing concept designs for customer projects
- Preparing drawings and design documentation
- Assisting with design modifications and customisations
- Working with our team to understand construction methods and transport requirements
- Participating in client meetings and helping translate customer ideas into practical designs
- Learning the unique considerations involved in designing homes that are both liveable and transportable
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Is currently studying Architecture or Architectural Design
- Has proficiency in CAD and/or 3D modelling software (e.g. Revit, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, AutoCAD)
- Has a strong interest in small-space living and residential design
- Enjoys creative problem-solving
- Communicates well with clients and team members
- Is keen to learn about construction and the practical realities of building transportable homes
