MechTest is looking for a practical and technically minded Mechanical Engineer / Test Engineer to join our team.
This role involves a mix of office, laboratory, workshop, and site-based work.
It is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering, mechanical/load testing, sample preparation, test setup, data collection, technical reporting, and practical problem-solving.
This is not a purely desk-based role.
The successful applicant will assist with standard and bespoke mechanical testing, test fixtures and jigs, equipment setup, sample preparation, failure investigations, reports, procedures, and site-based testing or inspections when required.
A strong interest in electrical systems, electronics, instrumentation, data capture, and programming would be highly regarded.
Experience with mechanical testing, workshop equipment, CNC, machining, sensors, data acquisition, or programming would be an advantage.
Engineers Australia membership or eligibility for membership would also be highly regarded.
