About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Senior Telecommunications Engineer to join our growing team in Brisbane.
Skills & Duties:

Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with project and technical standards.

Lead and deliver high‑quality telecommunication design projects across Qld and interstate
-
Act as a technical and delivery lead on telecommunication projects for Qld utilities.
-
Proactively engage with existing and potential clients to identify and develop new business opportunities in the region and strengthen Egis market presence.
What do we need from you
-
Tertiary Qualification(s) in Telecommunications Engineering
-
Minimum 15 years’ experience working in a similar position with relevant experience in design and management
-
Highly developed organisational and prioritisation skills
-
Client management skills, and the ability to work with clients to understand their needs, define project scope, and develop project plans and proposals
-
Ability to influence others to achieve outcomes
-
Understanding of major technical areas across rail telecommunication and transport industries to act as Telecommunications SME to deliver desired outcomes for internal and external stakeholders
-
Exceptional project management skills
-
Strong research and analytic skills
-
Sound negotiation skills
-
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
-
Computer literate with advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Experience with professional services business environments preferred

IP Networking & Security: SD-WAN, VPN/VLANs, IP/MPLS, SR, DWDM, and Cyber Security (IT/OT).

Industrial Automation & IoT: SCADA, PLCs, RTUs, IIoT, and Industrial Protocols.
