Your new role:
As a General Services Assistant, you'll provide essential operational support that helps deliver high-quality patient care. From transporting patients and maintaining cleaning standards to supporting food services, you'll work as part of a dedicated team to ensure a safe, efficient and welcoming healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Transport patients safely throughout the facility and assist nursing staff with basic patient care.
Maintain high standards of cleaning, hygiene and infection prevention across clinical areas.
Deliver quality food services while meeting food safety and hygiene standards.
Support a safe hospital environment through waste management, linen services and general operational duties.

You are reliable, physically capable and committed to providing excellent support services that contribute to positive patient experiences.
Skills & Experience
Experience or knowledge of cleaning, food safety and infection control practices.
Ability to safely perform patient handling, manual handling and transport duties.
Strong communication skills with a commitment to respectful, confidential customer service.
A team player who is adaptable, reliable and committed to workplace safety and quality.

Eight Mile Plains Satellite Health Centre, Maroo-goodji-ba:
The satellite health centre is also known as Maroo-goodji-ba, a name chosen by the community and local Traditional Owners and Elders means 'peace, wellbeing and place of red earth' in the Yagarabul language.
The satellite health centre treats minor illnesses and injuries that aren't life-threatening and also have a range of specialist services, including kidney dialysis, cancer day therapy and mental, allied health and outpatient services.
