About the Role
Zensteel, a growing steel processing and roofing manufacturing company based in Silverwater, NSW, is seeking a skilled and motivated ICT Business Analyst to join our expanding team.
This full-time position supports the company’s ongoing investment in technology, process improvement, and operational efficiency. Working closely with management and operational teams, the successful candidate will analyse business processes, gather and document system requirements, and support the implementation and optimisation of ICT solutions across production, inventory, delivery, and business management functions.
This role is central to improving system performance, strengthening business workflows, and ensuring technology solutions effectively support organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Engaging with business stakeholders to identify operational challenges and gather business, functional, and system requirements.
- Reviewing existing workflows and business processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend ICT-based improvements.
- Preparing business analysis documentation including functional specifications, process maps, workflow diagrams, and system requirements.
- Translating operational and business needs into technical requirements to support system design and development activities.
- Supporting the implementation, integration, and enhancement of business systems, CRM platforms, and internal digital applications.
- Analysing operational and business data to identify trends, support reporting, and contribute to informed decision-making.
- Evaluating risks associated with system upgrades and ICT initiatives and recommending practical mitigation strategies.
- Liaising between management, operational teams, and technical providers to support successful ICT project delivery.
- Coordinating testing activities, supporting user acceptance testing (UAT), and monitoring system functionality following implementation.
- Developing user procedures and delivering training and system support to assist staff with the effective use of business systems and digital platforms.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives designed to enhance operational visibility, data accuracy, and business performance.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor qualification in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, ICT, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in ICT business analysis, systems implementation, process improvement, or related business systems roles.
- Demonstrated experience gathering requirements and preparing technical and functional documentation.
- Experience working with CRM, inventory, operational, or workflow-based systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and recommend practical business solutions.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience supporting system implementation, testing, training, and business process improvement initiatives.
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
