Disability Support Worker (NDIS) - SIL & Community (Casual)

Pay: SCHADS Level 2 Pay Point 1 (Casual) — $45.28/hr
About the role
Key Support Services is looking for reliable, values-driven Support Workers to provide person-centred supports to NDIS participants across SIL and community-based supports. You’ll help participants build independence, stay connected to their community, and work towards their goals — while maintaining safety, dignity, choice, and privacy.You may support people with physical disability, autism/ADHD, psychosocial disability/mental health needs, and other complex support needs.What you’ll do
- Provide SIL supports in participants’ homes (daily routines, skill-building, household tasks)
- Assist with daily living activities including personal care (where required), meal preparation, and domestic assistance
- Support community access (shopping, appointments, social activities, recreation)
- Work collaboratively with families, Support Coordinators, and allied health professionals
- Complete accurate documentation (shift notes, progress notes, incident reporting)
- Follow risk assessments and safe work practices (manual handling, infection control, safe transport)
- Uphold the NDIS Code of Conduct and Key Support Services policies and procedures
- Identify and report incidents, hazards, and changes in participant needs promptly
- Comply with restrictive practices requirements (no restrictive practices unless authorised, trained, and directed)
Shift types (current)
- Day and afternoon shifts
- No sleepovers or active nights currently (may change in future depending on participant needs and your availability)

Essential requirements (NSW)
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) (minimum) or equivalent
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (NSW) (or willingness to obtain if eligible)
- National Police Check (current)
- Working With Children Check (WWCC) (current)
- Willingness to complete required training/refreshers
- Ability to complete documentation and use basic technology/apps
Preferred (highly regarded)
- First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (preferred, not essential)
- Experience in SIL and/or complex needs supports
