Golding are seeking a skilled Shotfirer to become part of our team at the Meandu Mine, located near Kingaroy.

Golding are seeking a skilled Shotfirer to become part of our team at the Meandu Mine, located near Kingaroy. Local candidates are encouraged to apply (no camp available). This role operates on a residential dayshift only lifestyle roster.
Key role Tasks:
- Plan and prepare blasting activities in line with the mine plan and blast design.
- Conduct pre-blast inspections and risk assessments to ensure safe blasting conditions.
- Safely transport, handle, store, and account for explosives and detonators.
- Load explosive products into drilled blast holes according to blast specifications.
- Tie-in and test blast initiation systems (electronic, non-electric, or electronic detonators).
- Establish blast exclusion zones and ensure all personnel and equipment are cleared.
- Conduct final safety checks and execute blasting operations.
- Work closely with drill and blast, production, engineering, and mine operations teams.
- Promote safe work practices and contribute to continuous improvement of blasting performance.
Role Requirements
- Production Mining experience essential
- Demonstrated safe, professional and productive behaviour
- QLD Shotfirers Licence
- Current QLD Explosives Security Clearance
- Current Drivers Licence
- Current Standard 11
- Ability to pass a Coal Board medical exam, functional capacity assessment, and drug & alcohol screening
