QA Engineer, Backend

Job Details

Must be able to legally work for any employer in the respective location (US or Australia).

Create tests to identify software problems
Analyze bugs and errors found during tests and in partner systems
Document results of tests for the software development team
Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience
Work together with software developers to reproduce problems and give them a hard time over regressions encountered
Conduct Load, Soak, and Performance testing
Keep DevOps team updated with release notes, known issues, and new Runbooks

Experience in software development lifecycle and testing
Experience with Python, XML, Bash, Java
Experienced in test tools, including: Postman, cucumber, and Mocha, among others
Proficient in test automation
Good knowledge of Linux OS and tools
Excellent experience testing end-to-end systems running on mobile devices with backend services
Exceptional attention to detail
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Good oral and written communication
Great team player and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
Likes to break things

Good Android and iOS experience
Experience in financial industry standards, transactional components of the ecosystem, such as payment gateways, switches, ISO8583, etc.
Experienced in AWS services with proven track record of sound cloud architecture
