Your new role
As a Peer Support Coordinator, you'll create safe, welcoming spaces where carers can connect, share experiences and build supportive relationships with others who understand their journey.
Working across both online and in-person settings, you'll facilitate peer support groups, workshops and community events that help reduce isolation, strengthen wellbeing and empower carers to navigate the challenges of their caring role. You'll also build connections across the community, helping carers access information, support and opportunities that enhance their quality of life.

Facilitate engaging peer support groups, workshops and events both online and in person.
Create safe and inclusive environments where carers feel heard, supported and connected.
Build strong relationships with carers and provide person-centred support aligned to their goals and needs.
Attend expos and local community events to promote the Carer Gateway Program.
Collaborate with colleagues and community community organisations to deliver meaningful programs and activities.
Travel across Sydney and occasionally attend overnight workshops and events.
We want you to be successful in your new role! This means you’ll have:
Qualifications in social work, psychology, community services or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Experience facilitating groups, workshops or community-based programs.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
A compassionate and person-centred approach, with the confidence to support people experiencing challenges or vulnerability.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Confidence using digital systems and maintaining accurate records.
A willingness to travel throughout Sydney and work occasional evenings or weekends as required.
