At Butterken Bakery, we believe in the magic of artisan baking. Our open-production bakery is a space where customers can witness the craft first-hand, and we take pride in using locally sourced, high-quality ingredients to create exceptional bread and pastries.
As a German-inspired bakery, we are dedicated to bringing authentic German breads to our community. Our menu features traditional pretzels, hearty rye bread, and classic German-style cakes.
We offer you the opportunity to:
- Work a 5 day roster either Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday (2 days off in a row and NO Sundays required)
- Work in a supportive and passionate team that values craftsmanship and quality
- Be part of an open-production bakery where transparency and authenticity shine
- Opportunity to contribute ideas and shape the future of our product offerings
- Sample great bread and coffee daily :)
- No night work required. All of our baking is done during the day.
Your day-to-day:
- Mixing, shaping, and baking a variety of artisan breads and pastries
- Maintaining quality and consistency in all baked goods
- Working with local ingredients to create products that reflect our commitment to excellence
- Assisting in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient bakery space
- Engaging with the team to develop new recipes and seasonal specialties
Must-haves:
- Experience baking (sourdough preferred)
- Team player attitude
- Focus and attention to detail
- Good time management and problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Love and passion for great bread
