THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a Registered Migration Agent or Immigration Lawyer with approximately three years of relevant Australian migration experience to join our growing team.This role is suited to a migration professional who enjoys end-to-end case management, technical problem-solving and preparing accurate, high-quality applications. You will take ownership of strategy, compliance, document review and lodgement quality while working closely with Legal Assistants and processing staff.You will join an established practice with a strong client pipeline. Business development is welcomed and supported, but it is not a requirement of the role. Depending on your experience and preferred career direction, the position may place greater emphasis on strategic consultation and technical review, end-to-end file ownership, or a combination of both.

- Conduct client consultations and assess eligibility against current migration requirements.
- Develop practical migration strategies and identify legal, evidentiary and compliance risks.
- Manage or oversee visa applications from engagement through to lodgement and post-lodgement follow-up.
- Prepare and review submissions, statutory declarations and supporting evidence.
- Liaise with clients, employers, skills-assessment bodies and the Department of Home Affairs.
- Ensure every matter is compliant, decision-ready and progressed within agreed timeframes.
- Work closely with Legal Assistants and processing staff, giving clear direction and constructive feedback.
- Contribute to technical discussions, precedent development, training and workflow improvement.

- Current registration as a Registered Migration Agent or admission as an Australian legal practitioner, with approximately three years of relevant Australian migration experience.
- Hands-on experience in employer-sponsored, GSM, partner/family, DAMA/labour agreement, or complex eligibility matters.
- Strong written drafting, attention to detail, professional judgement and client communication skills.
- The judgement to take responsibility for deadlines, quality, compliance and proactive file progression.
- Confidence using case-management systems and technology-enabled workflows, together with a collaborative mindset and willingness to support team development.
WHAT THINK VISA OFFERS Reward and recognition
- $85,000-$105,000 base salary plus superannuation. Final remuneration will reflect experience, technical capability and the scope of work you can manage independently.
- $5,000-$10,000 annual performance incentive. Earn an additional performance incentive each year, assessed against clear and transparent criteria that recognise technical quality, client outcomes, file progression, teamwork and productivity.
- Business-development commission. Where you choose to generate eligible new business, additional commission opportunities may apply under the firm’s incentive policy. Business development is encouraged, never required.
- Exceptional-candidate flexibility. Higher remuneration may be considered for candidates with strong independent capability across employer-sponsored, GSM, family and complex migration matters.

- Hybrid and flexible work. Work from home for up to two days per week after successful probation, subject to operational and client requirements.
