BAR ATTENDANT
The Sovereign Resort Hotel Pty Ltd T/A Sovereign Resort Hotel, located at 128 Charlotte Street, Cooktown QLD 4895, is seeking an experienced and motivated Bar Attendant to join our hospitality team.
This is a full-time position. The successful applicant will receive a yearly salary of $72000. per annum plus superannuation.
As a Bar Attendant, you will be responsible for providing professional beverage service to hotel guests while maintaining high standards of customer service, cleanliness, and responsible alcohol service.
Main Duties:
· Serving customers
· Using EFTPOS machine and cash register
· Preparing displays and presenting stock, including specials and ticket writing
· Pricing of stock and maintaining stock control
· Cleaning and care of glasses and equipment (including fridges)
· Practicing proper workplace health and safety procedures
· Other incidental and peripheral duties as requested by the Employer
· Mixing Drinks
· Receipt and dispensing of all monies
· Reconciliation of transactions
· Respond to customer requests in a professional and timely manner
· Offer assistance to customers
· Promote the Employer’s services and facilities to customers when appropriate
· Make hotel customers feel welcome
· Assist in maintaining customer service standards set by the Employer
· Ensure the work area complies with the highest standards of cleanliness
· Ensure that customers are served in a professional and diligent manner
· Taking reservations, greeting and seating guests
Work Experience & Qualifications
· AQF Certificate II in Hospitality or equivalent plus at least one and a half (1.5) years relevant work experience (20 plus hours per week); OR
· AQF Certificate III in Hospitality or equivalent plus at least one (1) year relevant work experience (20 plus hours per week); OR
· At least two (2) years relevant full-time hospitality or bar experience (35 hours per week) may substitute for formal qualifications.
· Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification is required.
