Schools Liaison Officer
This is an exciting and meaningful opportunity to shape young students' futures, and the future of Vocational Education and Training, by connecting Gold Coast High Schools and Students with TAFE Queensland's diverse vocational programs, creating impactful learning pathways. In this dynamic role, you will coordinate, promote and support the implementation of TAFE at Schools programs across our region.
This position reports to the Manager, Commercial Business. This is a permanent, full-time AO4 position, primarily based at our Ashmore campus with travel across the Gold Coast region's campuses and High-Schools.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, coordinate and maintain communication networks with key management and delivery staff within partner schools to ensure high-quality training delivery.
Contribute to the management and delivery of promotional activities for the Business unit.
Liaise with educational delivery units to support the growth and effective management of schools programs.
Facilitate the negotiation and project management of business proposals and contracts with client schools.
Maintain current knowledge of TQGC products, services and systems to support effective communication and service delivery to relevant client groups.
Build and maintain effective client relationships by ensuring all aspects of school contracts are addressed, including feedback and follow-up processes to support repeat business.
Monitor performance against revenue targets to support profitability, and provide reports to the Manager, Domestic Business on a monthly basis or as required.
Contribute to the achievement of TAFE Queensland's quality policies by supporting an environment where high-quality work is delivered and underpinned by adherence to quality system documentation.
Ensure day-to-day activities align with business operations.
Contribute to continuous improvement of business processes and practices.
Model and actively promote an ethical and safe work environment, supporting a culture of zero harm and best practice in health, safety, wellbeing and sustainability.
How You Will Be Assessed
Within the context of the key responsibilities above, the ideal applicant will demonstrate the following key capabilities:
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities, including the capacity to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels across an organisation.
Demonstrated understanding of the vocational education and training sector, including knowledge of secondary and tertiary education systems and student pathways into further education.
Demonstrated ability to use business management tools to support the timely preparation, documentation and reporting of program performance.
Demonstrated ability to use computerised systems, including databases, word processing and spreadsheets, and the ability to quickly acquire skills in new systems and applications.
Demonstrated initiative, adaptability and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, challenging and changing environment.
Mandatory Qualifications & Requirements
This position requires a Working with Children Check (Blue Card). Confirmation of employment is conditional upon the preferred applicant being issued with a Blue Card. (For further information, visit: http://www.bluecard.qld.gov.au/)
There are no mandatory qualifications for this position, however demonstrated knowledge and experience within the VET sector, particularly across school-based traineeships and TAFE at Schools programs, will be highly regarded.
