About the role
Senior Leader – Product Originations is an opportunity for a technology leader ready to bring their experience to a strategic, high-impact role. You'll join our Technology and Transformation team, responsible for our Lending, IDV and Enterprise Content Management platforms. This is a leadership role guiding Developers, Technical Leads and System Analysts, where you'll help shape delivery methodology, team capability, vendor partnerships, budget and ways of working.
We're looking for someone who enjoys building strong teams and platforms just as much as building strong relationships — someone who leads with clarity, supports their people's growth, and brings good judgement to complex technical and organisational decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and support a high-performing technology team, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and growth through coaching, mentoring and succession planning
- Help shape platform strategy and roadmap in partnership with the wider team, ensuring alignment to business goals and long-term scalability
- Work closely with architecture, delivery teams, and senior stakeholders on platform design decisions, performance improvements, and new ways of working
- Support platform reliability and operational excellence, including monitoring, lifecycle management, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and incident management
- Help ensure platforms remain secure, compliant, and aligned with cyber security frameworks, access controls, and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to risk, compliance, and governance activities — maintaining strong controls, supporting audits, and fostering a healthy risk culture
- Champion continuous improvement through data-driven insights and collaborative operational reviews
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service performance to support delivery quality and SLA outcomes
Support financial management of platforms, including budgeting, forecasting, and getting the most value from technology investments

- Strong technical skills, ideally from a development background.
- Familiarity with low code / no code platforms.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams to good outcomes.
- Commercially savvy and have managed a budget.
- Eagerness to lean in and be hands-on technically when needed.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience working in agile delivery environments
- Comfort managing multiple stakeholders, including vendors and change partners
- A collaborative approach to compliance and risk, working alongside Service Owners
- Experience supporting hybrid teams, including internal staff and service providers (including offshore team members)
A genuine team player who enjoys helping others succeed
