Role Description/Criteria
Aquinas College wishes to employ a dynamic and suitably qualified musician/music tutor specialising in Percussion. This position will be a part time (0.2 FTE) ongoing position.
The preferred candidate will be enthusiastic, keen to engage and inspire our students and able to teach students at a variety of learning stages- beginners through to senior players.
The successful applicant will have:

a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children

a strong working knowledge of Contemporary Percussion and Drum Kit Performance

be comfortable teaching Year 7 – 12 students including VCE students

the ability to facilitate and conduct Percussion ensembles (eg; Drumline) and concert band percussion sectionals

availability to participate in school music events as required from time to time

excellent communication skills
-
the ability to work successfully within a team

a current WWCC and Police Check or be prepared to obtain one (Non VIT applicants)

relevant permissions to work in Australia

VIT Registration (advantageous, but not essential)
The successful applicant will be appointed following a salary assessment according to either the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement (CEMEA) 2022 or the Educational Services (Schools) General Staff Award 2020 depending on VIT registration status.
