What You’ll Do
Partnering closely with the EGM Marketing, Business Unit leaders, and senior stakeholders across Optus, you will be responsible for:
Leading enterprise brand strategy, setting the direction and evolution of the Optus brand platform to drive long-term value and customer trust
Owning brand governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure consistency, quality, and alignment across all channels and business units
Driving integrated campaign strategy, aligning cross-functional teams and agencies to deliver impactful, coordinated campaigns
Acting as a senior brand advisor to GMs, EGMs, and Executive leadership, translating complex strategy into clear, commercially grounded narratives
Leading creative ambition, setting a high bar for brand expression and challenging work that doesn’t meet strategic or commercial objectives
Providing senior stewardship of agency partners, ensuring strong strategic alignment, performance, and value delivery
Embedding brand into business strategy by partnering across Product, GTM, Digital, Networks, Legal, and Corporate Affairs to drive enterprise-wide alignment
Ensuring fiscal discipline across major brand investments, optimising outcomes from significant marketing spend
Coaching and developing senior marketing leaders, elevating capability in strategic thinking, creative excellence, and commercial rigour
Leading enterprise alignment forums, resolving trade-offs and ensuring shared accountability for brand outcomes
What You’ll Bring
12+ years’ experience in marketing, with deep expertise in brand strategy, campaigns, and commercial delivery
Proven leadership in complex, matrixed organisations with multiple senior stakeholders
Strong experience managing large agency ecosystems and integrated campaign delivery
Expertise across the full marketing mix including media, digital, creative, and content
Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, including executive-level communication
Demonstrated ability to translate brand strategy into execution across channels
Strong commercial acumen, understanding how brand drives growth and long-term value
A strategic mindset with the ability to operate confidently in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
